PEI Evaluation, SARS-CoV-2 Ag, Nasopharyngeal Swab, coronaviruses, antigen tests, sensitivity, covid-19

Paul-Ehrlich-Institut (PEI), the reference laboratory for coronaviruses in Germany, made the latest comparative evaluation of a large number of SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigen tests (point of care tests; POCT) of different designs and manufacturers using the uniform sample sets allows an overview of the current state of the art regarding sensitivity. The current state of the art was defined as corresponding to a minimal sensitivity of 75% for the pools with Cq≤25.

 

Accu-Tell® SARS-CoV-2 Ag Cassette for Nasopharyngeal Swab (Ref. No. ABT-IDT-B367) passed this evaluation. For the sample pools with Cq≤25, the sensitivity is 100%; for the sample pools with Cq 25-30, the sensitivity is 75%.

Accu-Tell® SARS-CoV-2 Ag Cassette for Nasopharyngeal Swab (Ref. No. ABT-IDT-B367) remains listed on the Table 1 of the PEI Evaluation Results, that is, SARS-CoV-2 antigen rapid diagnostic tests passing the sensitivity criteria.
